Indonesia’s clerics delay edict on TV gossip

The Jakarta Post reports that Indonesia’s 40 million-strong organization of Muslim clerics, Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), will leave the decision on the issuance of a fatwa (edict) prohibiting Muslims from watching or producing television gossip shows, to the organization’s central body.
